fripodding and the return: “the boys are back in town” thin lizzy

To make a long story short, I welcomed home my best friend (more like a brother) home today after he spent the past few months defending our country in Iraq. I bought him a delicious apple cider and helped him pick out a new phone. I like to say that I have two brothers from other mothers and now we are all back home. (The other one had lived in Philly for a while, I spent a year in New York, and the other joined the Army.) Now we are all back, and before we all went our separate ways near the end of 2004, I declared Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back in Town” as our anthem once we all get back together again. So let the music play as the three of us unite to wreak havoc on the town. Actually, they are more wild than I am, and I’m usually the spectator when we caused mischief in our hay day. However, I’d still be an accomplice. But besides being bros for life, we all share a common theme with the love of music.

Welcome home Barry.

I’ll give more of a background story to this song another time.
