Clooney Confused By Burn After Reading Plot

6 July 2008 3:59 PM, PDT From wenn.com See recent WENN news
Hollywood star George
Clooney
has confessed he has no idea what his forthcoming film Burn After Reading is about.
The actor, 47, admits he is baffled by the plot of the “dark spy comedy” and
when he tries to get an explanation from directors Joel and Ethan Coen, they just laugh at
him.
He says, “I tell the Coens that I don’t understand it and they go,
‘Yeah… heh, heh, heh’. I seem to play another idiot, who is having an affair
with Tilda Swinton.”
But
Clooney is keen to get to the bottom of the plot – the movie is due to open the
Venice Film Festival in Italy next month.

another perk to work at home

So I’ve been looking around for new car insurance because, well… they are about to bump up my premium another $100+… making my payments about $320. I know, it sucks. However, I have some new cards i can play. Since I’ll be goign to work at home in August, that changes my answers as to how many days a week I commute to work. ZERO! Woot! And what question goes with that? “How many miles is th–” ZERO! Woot! Woot! Sigh…

Let me not get too excited just yet. ‘Tis only a quote and I know they will bump up my price a bit more. Oh yeah, my monthly payment would be about $160. The premium itself just under $900 which is sooooo much better than $1900. Can I get an amen? NOW, I need to shop around just to see who else will help me out. I’m takign some advice my dad gave me and forgetting about the accident that I can’t remember about. I’m sure that helps bring down the price too. Unfortunately, the company that my job has a discount with, I can’t use because I told them my bumper is gone and they can’t give me a quote until that’s fixed. Had I known this, I would’ve told them something different and quite possibly had a lowest price… but who knows. I keep forgetting how many auto insurance agencies there are out there and I don’t feel like sifting through each and everyone for the best deal. What I’d love is Allstate, but I fear it might be out of my price range. You never know…

In the meantime, I shall do some wrapping up so I can get out of here and enjoy my holiday weekend. Lord knows I didn’t have much work to do anyway. My mother can be so trickery in her evil ways asking me if I was going to work KNOWING I didn’t have much to do and not many would be in and that I was tired and its a holiday and the fact that she took the day off as well… But I came in anyway. I’m almost done with my warm melted ice coffee too. I got the medium size today so I can enjoy the rest of today until a few hours after nightfall. Plans for today? Gym and maybe a movie. Tomorrow? Supposedly Six Flags, but I don’t really wanna go anymore. I know, I’m weird.

breakfast burrito

Now I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing, or what it says about me… But I find it a little scary and humorous that I know Thursdays are breakfast burrito days in the cafe in my building. Now that’s not a huge or disturbing problem, or is it? Could it just be I know the schedule or the menus? I can’t seem to remember which day is Frech toast sticks day. I want to say it’s Friday, but I don’t work on Fridays… So perhaps it’s a food that changes. Some days they have frittata… Which I have tried but I might be mistaking them for something else entirely that eventually grossed me out too much to complete. They tasted like baked scrambled eggs, and it had meat in it. It was a good idea and looked good at the time. But I’m picky overall. If there are strange things mixed with it… like vegatables… especially green ones… I probably won’t touch it. I might let a brocolli slip by, depends on the circumstances.

But the burritos have been consistently Thursdays. What’s the big deal with the burritos? Well they are… different. I’m not big on burritos to begin with. But Lord knows I love breakfast and a majority of the foods. At least American breakfast foods. I recently saw what Japan supposedly eats for a morning meal, according to new misleading reality TV show, I Survived a Japanese Game Show. I don’t even wanna get started on that right now. Let’s just say that I’m disappointed about it’s show within a show concept… and it happened within the first minute of the first episode. BUT we’re talking about breakfast burritos.

They are… hmmm… almost soggy. Would it still be considered a soft tortilla? Well that bready part is moist which I’m assuming is due to the heat from the contents and being wrapped in foil. But the breading tends to stick to the paper inside the wrapping. I found that the sogginess also may come from the contents itself. Perhaps the “juices” from the eggs, cheese, or meat soak through the tortilla and make it feel a bit more mushy than I prefer. I cringe at the thought of calling it “juices.” Eggs shouldn’t have juice. CHEESE shouldn’t have juice. Ok, ok… We’ll just say they are “moist.” That word is more pleasant even though I’ve heard debates that the word itself sounds a bit gross to hear. Say it aloud with me… mmmmooooiiissstttt(aahhh)… It’s fun to say. So is colloquial.

Overall, don’t eat the breakfast burritos here. At first they might be sorta good. But My guess is you might regret it in the end. You’ll get depressed somewhere in the meal. I almost want to shun all breakfast burritos… but I’ve only started experiementing since I started working here since they have a variety everyday. Don’t get me wrong, I think the concept is great. Especially if you are on the go or like to touch your food. I personally prefer actual sandwiches made from bagels or croissants, which they also make here and I tend to pick up from time to time. Unfortunately, they like to gype you with either little eggs or the ham shoved to one side. There is no TLC in the making of these breakfast delights. So I guess it’s hard to call them a delight. More of a disappointment.

Fortunately they had scrambled eggs with meat & cheese today, which is great by me. The cheese here is great and I don’t know why. Oh well. I won’t analyze it.

GOOD GOD IN HEAVEN!

Wow I am pooped. I wasn’t tired before so I thought I’d fix a post… but it didn’t need fixing. However, I was a little annoyed with the sidebar and how it kept appearing at the bottom. SO I spent an hour or so looking how to fix it. The best way? Make my posts drafts until my blog fixed itself. I did so, after drafting over half of my posts. One by one, mind you. Very time consuming. Once I found the one, or what I thought was the one, I had to republish them. Turns out that the one I thought was a problem, wasn’t at all.

Unfortunately, with all of that, I lost my first and only comment. This does indeed sadden me. But at least I have a new nifty blogroll. I need to maybe do one other thing to promote Behance and that is to start posting my badge so people can click on it and see my poems or any other work I post on there.

In the meantime, I’m going to lay back down again, watch a few minutes of Psych, drift off to sleep for a few hours as I prepare to work a much shorter day tomorrow. It’d be nice to do, I dunno… 6-7 hours? Then I can leave and goto the gym. I’m already falling behind. Sigh. And yawn. Well, here we go.

so how is everyone else’s job?

Can’t you believe it? I STILL can’t pull any work today! I think I explained yesterday how frustrating it is not to be able to do any work when I struggle to get out of bed just to get here to find I have nothing to do. If I didn’t like the thought of “free money” I would go back home.

Since I’m here, I will do what I can to make the best of it. I uploaded most of my recent poetry onto my new portfolio on Behance yesterday into last night. Oh, what’s Behance you say? Why it’s the best place for artists and people/teams/groups thats create, entertain, or perform various kinds of crafts and talents. Sort’ve like a professional meeting place or expo, but online, and made so people can easily interact with others whether that be across the street or across the planet. I’m proud to say that I was already contacted by someone about my poetry. That might not mean anything to you, but I’m pretty excited. My words have gone INTERNATIONAL. Anyway, this place is at http://www.behance.net/ and you are free to roam about and check out what millions of people are doing. I have no idea how many people are actually on the site, but I love the community of artists. I’d love to collaborate with many of them but I don’t have a clue to start right now. And with all the God given gifts I’ve been blessed with, I didn’t quite know where to begin with my portfolio. Since I didn’t have a serious outlet for my poetry, I started with that. I’ll keep the blogging to this site here. But I kept my profile to my main passions, which is writing, storytelling… and poetry. I could only pick 3. Oh well.

Special shout out to Dave Stein whom I don’t know personally, but I’ve got connections ;o)

By the way, my profile/portfolio can be found at http://www.behance.net/tsterlingwatson and I encourage anyone with any kind of artisticness to get on board and show your stuff and be appreciated. It’s a good feeling when you get those thumbs ups.

Is it just me, or does it happen to other people when you get that first sip of coffee, you have a reaction to it… like a twitch or twinge or something? For the record, if “twinge” isn’t a word, it’s like a twitch, but your face looks more distressed.

week #3 and counting

I rush into work to find that I don’t have work to do. Can Mondays get anymore frustrating for me?

Fortunately, I don’t have to go through the rest of my Moday having the Mondays since I have music to put me in a good mood as well as my co-workers sharing stores of dreams of working at home and one in particular who also doesn’t have much work that can be worked on. Thankfully, she’s also someone else who can share in the grief of not having work to do. I know how crazy that sounds.

“Who would complain about not having work to do?” some would ask.

I’ll tell you. First of all, we are on production, which means we need to have X amount (in our case, 50) files done at the end of the week. If our numbers are down, it looks bad. I’m still new to the team I’m on, so I don’t have to do 50 yet. My goal was 30 but I just squeaked by with 40. Why the extra 10? I like to push myself harder. So in the long run, at the end of the week, I can loaf around and enjoy my last day before the weekend. I know, lucky me.

Besides production numbers, the reason I torture myself every morning with the mere thought of waking up, getting dressed, and coming in this building is to work and make money. Okay, okay… the moment I sign in, I’m making money. But I’d like to be doing something productive with my time. And yes, technically the blogging is productive, but its not what they hired me to do.

Crap… I just lost my bottle cap under my desk and I really don’t feel like going under there to get it…

I really would like to go back to sleep. Or to IHOP. I don’t think there is ever a time I WON’T goto IHOP. Hmm. Pancakes. Actually, I think I like their eggs a little more.

Well I’m going to go not do work that I don’t have to do anyway. Or maybe I’ll work on my Behance profile/portfolio. I have a bunch of never-before-seen poems sitting here on my desk that oh-so-badly need to be typed and shared with the world. I also have voicemail and some faxes… It’s sorta work. I’m gonna save that til 9.

gyming has returned

My legs are so sore right now… I finally made it to joining a new gym… and I worked my legs first… and well… they are pooped.

I unrelated news, I bought the first season of SNL and will soon hope to get Undeclared which is a remarkable show cancelled way before it’s prime. Unfortunately, it’s very similar to my own college sitcom idea. I won’t let it stop me though. Originally, my story has nothing to do with this TV show, but now after seeing it, I will definitely give respect where respect is due.

I’m severely distracted right now by This Film is Not Yet Rated… So I will watch that and get back to whatever point I was trying to make later.

i like totally love it [dot com]!

Long story short, last week while trying to keep myself occupied until I was able to find some work to do, I found a site called http://iliketotallyloveit.com/ which helps to answer crazy questions like “Where the stank did they get that?” or “I wonder if they make this?”

Well, citizens, that site there has that and more! It took me a little while to figure out how the site works, but once I find something of interest, I goto the site the item is posted on and find SO much more things I totally love and don’t need. Or at least not for anything practical. I found a series of many different kinds of post-it like notes that can be used as parking citations, or cell phone violations, or apologies. It’s insane. the direct link to that site is http://www.perpetualkid.com/ so feel free to browse around and buy me something I might like.

Actually, sites like those are a good place to go birthday/Christmas/any occasion shopping for people that is hard to shop for. As always, be careful who you give credit card info to. But man are these sites awesome. My desk would be so full of random crap and knick-knacks that I don’t think I would get any work done. And don’t let me win lots of money, I may have a room in my house that looks like it was from the future. Again, check that first site for a starting place to other interesting things in life. It’s a great way to not work and kill some time. But if you have a quota at your job, try to meet that need first, then go play. Just some advice from someone that cares. ;o)

I think I’ll get back to work.

weekend productivity

I would go on a day by day of what this weekend entailed, but it’s not really that necessary. Instead, a brief summary of the highlights?

Thursday night, I rearranged my room. I do this every 12-18 months. Sometimes you just need a change, right? I’m hoping this is the last time I do this because I hope to move out this year. I don’t know how likely that is. But now my laptop and computer is set up so I can’t access it as easily with it being right next to my bed. So hopefully, I will sleep better without this major distraction.

Friday I went out to lunch with my friend like I normally do, nowadays. Afterwards, I was going to go car shopping, because I really need to replace Sam. My dad called and needed my help with something, so I never shopped for the car and went home. I continued to do more work on my room. Technically, even right now, it still isn’t done. There are little things like organizing my CDs and random things I don’t want to throw away. I did throw out 2 full trashbags of stuff. I need to do the same for my clothes. Instead of throwing them away, donating to charity or something? Yeah, that sounds good.

I don’t think I did much the rest of Friday… not that I can remember. Saturday I went out car shopping finally. But not after a noon iced latte with my friend… and a random encouter with a drunkard asking for 50 cents. It was rather discomforting, but as long as he didn’t mess with my friend, I was alright. I just wanted her away from him, and fortunately he didn’t even talk to her. Anyway, we traveled to 2 dealerships, technically 3… but just to look around. I completely forgot all that I learned about how to get a good deal. But fortunately, later that day I re-learned what I needed to know, so I think I’m ready to go back shopping first. But I MUST get a car this weekend. My plan is to visit at least 2 dealerships, but I already saw the car in mind, so I just may go from there and pretend I saw another car with a better deal elsewhere… which is partially true… but if no one comes out to talk to me about your car, why would I come back?

I recommend reading http://www.edmunds.com/advice/buying/articles/42962/article.html (Edmunds.com’s Confessions of a Car Salesman). It’s a lot of reading, but it’s useful if you are looking to buying a car. Almost makes you mad at car salesmen. But educational, and a bit humorous nonetheless.

Later that night I went to hang with my cousin. She and some friends were celebrating her boyfriend’s birthday. We had a good time. I was supposed to go somewhere else, but that ultimately got cancelled. It wasn’t too bad. I was just happy to be out. I even played DDR. I didn’t want to but they made me. No doubt I need practice.

Needless to say, I watched quite a bit of movies over the weekend. Check the MySpace blog for that.

Now here it is Sunday. My usual churchin’ went on. Had a good time. Once I came home, I fell asleep. Longer than expected. But I was pooped.

Now it’s time to start the new week. My last week with Sam, hopefully. Am I sad? Not entirely. We had some good times, but it’s time to move on. I’ve got work tomorrow too. WOOT! Now I won’t be bored. I’m weird, I know.
