a poem: "heartbreak hangover"

No, I’m not fine,
I am not okay.
There’s nothing you can do or say.
But thanks for asking anyway.

They don’t make pills for this kind of pain.
My heart can’t stay dry from this kind of rain.
Only time heals a heartbreak hangover.
And my heart won’t truly get over
knowing it won’t be the same.

Unless you were her
and came back to stay,
there’s not much else you can do today.
But thank you for trying anyway.

What a sweet poem! Or maybe it’s bittersweet… In any case, I liked it very much. Perfect length too!
