about me

Hello, I’m t. sterling watson.

_MG_8136I’m a writer of creative trades, meaning I love to dabble in poetry, short stories, personal essays, screenwriting and of course blogging. I don’t claim to be an expert on any of these things yet I like to say I’m a card carrying poet. I’m a student of film. I love to tell stories. And my daily goal is to make at least one person smile. 10 extra points for laughing.

The Indoob! blog was originally created for the sole purpose of keeping me entertained on the slower days at work. I figured I’d blog about the events, even if they were mundane, just to keep myself occupied and the occasion co-worker or outside friends amused. Eventually, the blog took on a life of it’s own once it began incorporating other interests I had, such as the entertainment business.

What is “Indoob”? Long story short: it’s a combination of the words “indeed” and “indubitably.” I’ve been known to say both words frequently, and they both mean the same thing. Basically, yes, indefinitely. But since “indubitably” is so much longer to text than “indeed”, I shortened it and decided to exploit it as my own creative. Before I knew it, the Workforce blog had it’s official name. The ’tis part is just me being facetious.

I’m a fan of the cinema. I like to be in the know of what’s being made, who is making it, who wrote it, who is going to be in it, and most importantly: when is it coming out. I’m also certain to check out movies from the past. I don’t like to be taken surprise by remakes, but not all remakes are bad since my favorite film is Ocean’s Eleven (2001).

I also love music. I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to my tastes. I try to show this on Fridays with my friPod posts: whatever is on my iPod is probably something I’d recommend to just about anyone to check out. Or I at least explain why I think you should check it out.

By the way, a lot of inanimate objects that I use have names. My iPhone? iSaac. My car? Sam Alice. My laptop? Silver. You get the idea. Just in case you are reading about Alice and wondering who the stank that is. (Sam was my first car, a black 2002 Nissan Altima. Alice is a silver 2007 Honda Accord.)

The purpose of my blog is basically to be a positive outlook on life through my eyes. I’ll complain once in a while, but I usually include some humor along with it. I also debut brand new poetry or just deep thoughts that might take on a serious tone. But for the most part, like any blog, it’s most chock full of my opinions and other musings on life. So enjoy, comment, follow, subscribe and become an Indoobian. You won’t be the only one, trust me.
